When Birth Certificate Translation Is Required
In Saudi Arabia, a certified Arabic translation of the birth certificate is required for family visa applications (to sponsor a spouse, children, or parents), school enrolment for children, and several administrative processes involving the Ministry of Interior. The birth certificate must be translated to show name, date and place of birth, and parent names.
In the UAE, birth certificate translations are required for residency visa applications for dependants, Emirates ID registration for children, and school admission. Births that occurred outside the UAE and are being registered with UAE authorities also require Arabic translations of the original birth certificate.
Name Consistency Across Documents
Birth certificates must be translated with names that exactly match other documents in your application package — particularly the passport. Our translators follow the same name transliteration standard across all documents in your application. If you are ordering a birth certificate translation alongside a passport translation, note this in both orders so our team applies the same Arabic rendering of names.
